Apple Butter Chili

I know, I know. It sounds crazy. But apple butter is my secret weapon for delicious chili! Trust me. It adds just a hint of sweetness that plays deliciously off the peppers and onion. Plus then you have a jar of apple butter to use on your toast in the mornings and it doesn't get much more "autumn" than that!


Since it's the first week of fall I wanted to feature the ultimate crisp fall evening meal. The beauty of chili is it is entirely customizable. Want to use turkey in lieu of beef? Go for it! You hate onions? Ok - leave em out (but maybe try a leek or shallot in place of it)! Prefer Great Northern Beans to Pinto beans? Sounds good to me! You have a family of 8 to feed? Great! Let's just double this recipe and you'll have plenty.

I love how this recipe combines two flavors I’d never think to put together but it works GREAT! My family loves this recipe and asks for it as soon as the air starts to get crisp. 10/10 highly recommend
